Please read these terms. By creating an account or using Kuvetra you agree to them. Last updated October 2026.
Kuvetra is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent boda-boda (motorbike) riders organised into local stages, each led by a chairman. Kuvetra is not a transport company and does not employ riders; riders operate independently.
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. You sign in with your Google account, so keep that account and your phone secure.
Riders must be verified by their stage chairman and must hold a valid driving licence and insurance that covers carrying passengers, obey all traffic laws, and ride safely, including wearing a helmet and carrying one for the passenger. An NTSA PSV badge is required, with a 20-day grace period from approval to obtain it. Submitting false documents can lead to removal. Riders are also bound by the Rider Agreement.
Treat other users with respect. Do not use Kuvetra for anything illegal or unsafe. Passengers and riders rate each other after a trip; repeated low ratings or rule-breaking can lead a chairman to suspend a rider.
Stages are self-governed by chairmen, who verify riders and may suspend or reinstate them. A rider belongs to one stage and can only move with the agreement of both chairmen.
Travel by motorbike carries risk and you take part voluntarily. Because riders are independent, Kuvetra is not responsible for their conduct or for incidents during a trip, to the maximum extent allowed by law. Always confirm the rider and number plate match the app before you ride.
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, Kuvetra is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app or from any trip.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and disputes are subject to the Kenyan courts.
